I just had my first colonoscopy yesterday afternoon. My prep consisted of 3 dulcolax tablets and 3 packets of Pico-salax mixed with water, followed by a self-administered Fleet enema yesterday morning. For the procedure, I was given demerol and gravol with something else and that was my conscious sedation. I woke up as the procedure was ending. It took me a while to get home afterwards, but that was only because my taxi was delayed. I get the results on January 28th.
really!!! well I had my first colonoscopy at 4yrs old!!!!!! I have Chrons/Colitis! ya LIFE REALLY DOES SUCK! okay! I also had an endoscopy which is a scope down the throat. I also have diabetes and celiac. I had no idea that this was gonna happen. You never know wats gonna happen next. Next week Im getttin checked for colon cancer and if i do have it, Ill have to get my colon removed or die……………………
